Fox-17 Interview Christmas Day 2010

Searchers combed land near the Kalamazoo River in Albion Saturday to look for any sign of Heather Cousino, the 33-year-old woman who disappeared two weeks ago.

Jamies Jones with the "Missing You Foundation" dedicated hours of his Christmas day to the search. Jones has spent years on what he described as "his calling": helping to reunite family members with their missing loved ones.

"The missing don't take the holidays off either," Jones told FOX 17. "We don't stop. Our motto is we don't stop until we find them."

Cousino was last seen at 2 p.m. Dec. 10 on 25 1/2 Mile Road near B Drive South in Calhoun County's Albion Township. Family and friends had not seen or spoken with her since.

Mother Diana Cousino explained the two got into an argument before Heather just walked away from the house.
She got upset and she took off down the road," she said. "I went to work and came home, and she never came back."

Diana added her daughter is bi-polar, has OCD and can be suicidal. She said she was concerned because Heather did not have any medications with her when she left.

"I'm hoping that she is alive, and they've just got her somewehere," Diana said. "I hope and pray that we either find her or [someone] decides to let her go so she can come back home."

Heather was last seen wearing blue hospital scrub pants, a cream colored sweater and tan boots. Cousino is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 115 pounds and has shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who has spoken with Cousino or who has seen her or knows her whereabouts is being asked to contact the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office by calling (269) 781-0963 and leaving a message or by calling 911.

Another big search for the woman is planned for Tuesday.

The family is now offering a $1,000 dollar reward for any information that leads to their missing loved one.
